Lee Min Ho′s previous drama, City Hunter earned him numerous fans in China – now he′s setting new records with his current drama, The Heirs.
Lee Min Ho’s agency Starhaus Entertainment said on November 5, “The Heirs got over 160 million views on one of the biggest Chinese streaming site, Youku (www.youku.com). This phenomenon was due to Lee Min Ho′s increasing popularity in China over the past two years with his previous drama City Hunter.”
Youku is China′s version of YouTube (as YouTub is blocked in most of the country) and gets over 420 million visitors every month. It also provides viewers with legal paid streaming of dramas and movies from around the world.
The Heirs has ranked number four on their list of popular dramas, despite that it has only aired eight episodes.
The Heirs will air episode 9 on November 6.
