Actor Lee Minho's donation platform "PROMIZ" has launched a "JAMJAMBOX" project for poorly-fed children from low-income families.
Rapid economic development has caused unfortunate family breakdown and children from those families are exposed to suffer poorly-feeding. One of the major difficulties they face is that they find the cause of poverty in themselves and feel guilty. This is the reason why emotional care is needed more at the same time as economic support.
Due to this reason, PROMIZ has planned 'JAMJAMBOX' for poorly-fed children. The project name is made de up of a combination of "JAM," meaning "fun," in Korean and "BOX" meaning "gift." It implies that it is as important to deliver warm messages as economic aid to children. Profits from selling design products will be used to hold birthday parties to children from low-income families, delivering the message 'Thank you for being born, you are precious.'
JAMJAMBOX presents two kinds of T-shirts and a tumbler. It has been sold
through Naver's online portal for donation, Happy Bean for three weeks
from June 21 and proceeds from its products will be used to make
birthday for low-income children across the country more meaningful
through the Community Chest of Korea.
Even after the end of Happy Bean funding, PROMIZ will continue its social contribution activities through various channels, calling for attention to poorly-fed children and better awareness of their needs.
Since its launch in March 2014, Lee Minho's donation platform "PROMIZ" has steadily pursued the value of Fun Donation and realized the shared value by making and selling design products that re-light the value within a set theme and donating the entire proceeds. It is also actively engaged in activities to improve awareness of social issues through SNS based on its high profile both at home and abroad, leading more people to participate in the scenes of sharing.
